PM Modi To Address Post-Budget Webinar On Technology, Reforms And Finance For Viksit Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the post-Budget webinar on ‘Technology, Reforms and Finance for Viksit Bharat’ on Friday morning via video conferencing.

The session will focus on key policy areas, including public capital expenditure, infrastructure development, banking sector reforms, financial sector architecture, deepening capital markets, and enhancing ease of living through tax reforms.

The webinar marks the first in a series of post-Budget discussions organised to examine the themes emerging from the Union Budget 2026–27.

According to an official statement, the sessions aim to draw lessons from past experiences and obtain structured feedback from participants to ensure outcome-oriented implementation of Budget announcements for the fiscal year 2026–27.

The initiative will leverage the insights and practical experience of diverse stakeholders.

Participants will include representatives from industry, financial institutions, market participants, government bodies, industry regulators, and academia.

The discussions will map ways to implement Budget measures and ensure reforms and public investment reach all sectors.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced ₹12.2 lakh crore for 2026–27 to drive infrastructure and boost jobs.

The government created an Infrastructure Risk Development Fund to fast-track large projects.

The Budget prioritises highways, ports, railways, power, and manufacturing in seven sectors, and champions MSMEs.

Sitharaman reaffirmed fiscal prudence and strong public investment, with the fiscal deficit projected at 4.3% of GDP. She further urged deeper global integration, higher exports, and foreign investment to sustain growth.

The webinar will convert Budget plans into action, promoting growth while keeping finances stable.

By uniting stakeholders from industry, finance, government, and academia, the discussions will strengthen implementation, ensure transparency, and create opportunities for sustainable development.
