PM Modi Thanks Tamil Nadu Voters As Vijay’s TVK Emerges As New Political Force

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday conveyed his appreciation to the people of Tamil Nadu for extending their support to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2026 Assembly elections, and also recognised actor-turned-politician C Joseph Vijay and his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), for their impressive showing.

Following the declaration of the election results, the Prime Minister took to social media to thank voters across the state for their confidence in the NDA. He affirmed that the alliance would continue to focus on resolving public issues and enhancing citizens’ well-being.

“Gratitude to the voters of Tamil Nadu who supported the NDA in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. We will always remain at the forefront in addressing people’s issues and improving their lives, ” PM Modi stated.

The Prime Minister’s statement comes as Tamil Nadu witnesses a notable political development, with TVK establishing itself as a significant new force. This marks a shift in a state traditionally influenced by long-standing Dravidian parties.

Recognising this development, PM Modi further congratulated Vijay and his party, describing their electoral performance as ‘remarkable’. His remarks highlight the changing political scenario in the region.

Emphasising the Centre’s ongoing support, the Prime Minister assured that the Union government would remain committed to advancing Tamil Nadu’s development and ensuring the welfare of its residents. He also stressed continued focus on infrastructure, economic growth and social initiatives.

“The Centre will leave no stone unturned in furthering the progress of Tamil Nadu and the well-being of their people,” the post added.

The Prime Minister’s message also reflects the NDA’s intention to strengthen its role in Tamil Nadu’s development journey.

With the rise of TVK as a new political contender, sustained government efforts towards growth and welfare will drive the state into a dynamic phase.
