PM Modi Targets Congress Over ‘Dynasty Politics’, Infiltration At Assam Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Congress during a public rally in Hojai, accusing the party of placing dynastic priorities above public service, while avoiding direct references to specific individuals.

Referring indirectly to the Nehru-Gandhi family, the Prime Minister asserted that the Congress continues to function with a ‘family-first’ mindset. He stated that the party remains focused on serving a ‘shahi parivar (royal family)’ in Delhi and suggested that a similar leadership pattern exists within Assam.

Emphasising his party’s strategy, PM Modi said the Bharatiya Janata Party promotes public welfare through continuous development efforts. He noted that the BJP operates on the principles of ‘nation first’ and ‘people first’, contrasting this with what he described as Congress’s focus on dynastic politics.

The Prime Minister also criticised Congress over corruption-related issues, alleging that members of the ‘royal family’ are out on bail in several cases. He added that such matters weaken the party’s credibility and cast doubt on its governance record.

Drawing attention to Himachal Pradesh, PM Modi alleged that Congress failed to honour its electoral promises in the state. He claimed that the government there has even reduced the salaries of its employees, describing it as a breach of public trust.

The Prime Minister added that such examples reflect a recurring pattern in which the party fails to fulfil the assurances it makes before elections after coming to power.

Call to Voters in Assam

Urging voters in Assam to stay alert, the Prime Minister encouraged them to support the BJP, stating that the party has a consistent track record of delivering on its commitments and ensuring development.

Addressing the issue of illegal infiltration, PM Modi said, “The Congress backed infiltration, and today infiltrators have captured vast stretches of land belonging to the indigenous people of Assam. This is the result of their vote bank politics.”

Outlining the government’s response, he also stated that the BJP is working ‘with full determination’ to reclaim encroached land and safeguard the rights of indigenous communities.

“Our government is taking strict action against illegal encroachments and infiltrators. We are committed to safeguarding Assam’s land, culture and identity,” he added.

The Prime Minister further alleged that Congress opposes such actions, stating, “Whenever action is taken against infiltrators, Congress leaders come out in their support. They are openly standing with those who have illegally occupied land,” PM Modi said.
