During his address in Meerut, PM Modi recalled the February 4 incident when women Congress MPs surrounded his Lok Sabha seat as he prepared to reply to the President’s Address.
He said, “Congress cannot perform in Parliament, nor allow its allies to speak. The biggest loss from this is borne by Congress’s allied parties. If you want to sit in the Prime Minister’s chair, you must win the people’s hearts; sending women MPs to occupy the seat won’t make you PM. Congress has become a burden for the nation.”
The Prime Minister also criticised the Youth Congress’s shirtless protest at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, calling it ‘ideologically bankrupt.
He said, “India hosted the world’s largest AI Summit, a historic event for any developing country. Congress exploited it for dirty politics, even though the nation already sees the party as exposed.”
PM Modi accused Congress of defaming India, contrasting its actions with community spirit: “When someone marries in a village, everyone works to present the best image. Congress focused only on tarnishing the nation’s image.”
He noted that the AI Summit was a national event, not a BJP function, and yet Congress ‘crossed all limits’, drawing nationwide criticism. He also slammed senior Congress leaders for praising the youth wing instead of condemning the protest.
The Prime Minister praised the INDIA bloc allies for their courage in criticising Congress over the Delhi incident and expressed his gratitude to them.
PM Modi’s remarks underscore the BJP’s focus on development, parliamentary discipline, and national pride, while highlighting Congress’s repeated reliance on disruptive politics rather than constructive governance.
