PM Modi proposed to host ‘COP33’, expressed, India’s contribution to global carbon emissions is less than 4 percent

PM Modi In Dubai: Addressing the inaugural session of the COP28 summit in Dubai, PM Modi on Friday said that India has offered to host COP33 in 2028. He said that India contributes less than 4 percent to global carbon emissions. He said that India has presented a model of development to the world by striking a perfect balance between ecology and economy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Dubai on Friday for the COP28 summit, said he is looking forward to meaningful dialogue and cooperation for a sustainable future. Modi was warmly welcomed by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the venue.

PM Modi’s meeting with Mark Rutte

PM Modi met Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. PM Modi wrote in an ex-post, “It is always refreshing to exchange views with my friend Mark Rutte of the Netherlands.” After reaching Dubai, PM Modi is sharing the information about there on his X account. PM Modi said in one of his posts that it was a privilege to meet Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His visionary leadership on various issues is truly commendable.

Summit will run from 30th to 12th December

Let us tell you that COP meeting is held every year to deal with the climate crisis on earth. This year UAE is hosting this meeting. This summit will run from 30 November to 12 December. PM Modi has also reached Dubai to participate in this. The second day of the summit on climate crisis is going to be very special.

Let us tell you that in the 2020 meeting, it was decided that developing countries will provide $ 100 billion annually as assistance to reduce carbon emissions, but this amount has not been deposited yet. COP28 is the 28th meeting of the United Nations on climate issues. It takes place every year and is the world’s only multilateral decision-making forum on climate change, with almost full membership from every country in the world.
