PM Modi Projects India As An Island Of Certainty Amid Global Volatility At Vibrant Gujarat Meet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday projected India as a rare beacon of certainty in an increasingly unstable world, asserting that political stability, policy continuity, and economic reform have positioned the country as a global growth engine.

Addressing the second edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for Kutch and Saurashtra in Rajkot, PM Modi said India today inspires confidence among investors at a time when much of the world grapples with uncertainty.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the two-day conference at Marwadi University and laid the foundation stone for 13 greenfield Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estates across seven districts, spanning more than 3,540 acres.

He described the initiative as a decisive step toward strengthening regional industrial ecosystems and accelerating inclusive development in Kutch and Saurashtra.

Calling his visit special, Prime Minister Modi said he began 2026 by offering prayers at the Somnath Temple before arriving in Rajkot, reinforcing the vision of ‘Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi’, development alongside heritage.

He said the Vibrant Gujarat journey, spanning over two decades, has evolved into a global benchmark that now represents modern India’s ambition, confidence, and capability.

Stability, Growth & Heritage Drive

Prime Minister Modi underlined that India stands on strong economic fundamentals. He said the country is the world’s fastest-growing major economy, inflation remains under control, and agricultural output continues to set records.

He highlighted India’s leadership in milk production, generic medicines, vaccines, mobile manufacturing, and digital payments through UPI, calling these achievements outcomes of the ‘Facilitate, Reform, Perform, Transform’ approach.

Emphasising investor confidence, Prime Minister Modi said global institutions increasingly view India as the engine of global growth.

He noted that rating agencies have upgraded India’s outlook, citing macroeconomic stability and fiscal credibility. He added that the expanding neo-middle class and rising purchasing power make India a market of unmatched potential.

Prime Minister Modi asserted that Kutch and Saurashtra serve not merely as regions of opportunity but as anchor zones of India’s growth story.

With over 1,500 MoUs expected and nearly 4,000 industrialists participating, he urged investors to act decisively, reiterating that ‘now is the right time’ to invest in India.
