Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to host a lunch in honour of the visiting leader.

Diplomatic Engagements And Tribute

Earlier in the day, President Lula paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar called on the Brazilian President and discussed advancing the Strategic Partnership between the two countries. Following the meeting, Jaishankar said on X that he was honoured to call on President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva during his State Visit and appreciated his warm sentiments and guidance on deepening the partnership.
