PM Modi & Leaders Extend Ganesh Chaturthi Wishes; Prays For Peace & Prosperity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and symbol of wisdom and prosperity.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Heartfelt Ganesh Chaturthi wishes to all of you. May this sacred occasion filled with devotion and faith bring auspiciousness to everyone. I pray to Lord Gajanana that He blesses all His devotees with happiness, peace, and excellent health. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

Celebrating Lord Ganesha

Indians across the country celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and joy.

The ten-day festival involves installing beautifully crafted idols of Lord Ganesha in homes and public spaces, with flowers, lights, and traditional sweets like modaks playing a central role in the festivities.

Daily rituals include prayers, aartis, and offerings. The festival culminates in Ganesh Visarjan, where idols are immersed in rivers or seas amid chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya’.

Leaders Join in Festive Spirit

Several top leaders joined the Prime Minister in sharing their wishes with the public.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted, “Heartfelt wishes to all on the auspicious festival of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi. I pray to Ganpati Bappa for happiness and prosperity in everyone’s life. Ganpati Bappa Moriya!”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also shared his greetings,

“Heartfelt greetings to all of you on the sacred festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. May Vighnaharta Shri Ganesh Ji infuse happiness, peace, and prosperity into all our lives. With His blessings, may India continue to progress on the path of unity, harmony, and development. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed similar sentiments,

Ganesh Chaturthi, which began on August 27, 2025, brings communities together in celebration, devotion, and cultural expression.

From Maharashtra to Tamil Nadu and from Gujarat to Odisha, the festival is marked by a blend of spiritual devotion, music, dance, and public unity.
