PM Modi Praises Rajnath Singh, S Jaishankar For ‘Outstanding’ Speeches In Lok Sabha On Operation Sindoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the speeches of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor, calling them ‘excellent’ and ‘outstanding’ in presenting India’s defence and diplomatic efforts.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “An excellent speech by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh Ji, giving an insightful perspective on the success of India’s security apparatus and the courage of our armed forces in Operation Sindoor.”

“The speech by EAM Dr. Jaishankar Ji was outstanding. He highlighted how the world has clearly heard India’s perspective on fighting the menace of terrorism through Operation Sindoor,” the post added.

Jaishankar’s remarks focused on India’s expanding global stature and its unwavering stand against cross-border terrorism.

Operation Sindoor has garnered wide attention for its precision, reflecting strong coordination between India’s defence and diplomatic machinery.

The Prime Minister’s recognition of both ministers’ contributions reflects the government’s cohesive stand on national security and foreign policy.

Earlier in the debate, Jaishankar spoke on the significant shift in India’s foreign policy under PM Modi’s leadership.

He outlined the transition from a previously reactive stance to a more strategic and assertive approach, aimed at reinforcing India’s global position and security interests.

Contrasting with past administrations, Jaishankar noted that while earlier governments emphasised continued diplomatic engagement despite provocation, the current policy relies on ‘diplomatic strength backed by military resolve’.
