Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the three-day DGP conference held in Jaipur, where he praised the Indian Navy for its recent commendable and courageous operation. During his address, PM Modi highlighted the remarkable efforts of the Indian Navy in swiftly responding to a distress call from a merchant vessel sailing in the Arabian Sea.
PM Modi revealed that upon receiving a distress signal from the vessel, which carried 21 individuals including 15 Indians and was situated around 2,000 kilometres away from the Indian coast, the Indian Navy and Marine Commandos promptly engaged in a crucial rescue mission. Their swift action successfully ensured the safe evacuation of all individuals aboard, averting a potential crisis.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of this operation, acknowledging the dedication and rapid response of the Indian Navy in rescuing those in distress. He also referenced a video capturing the heartwarming moment when the Indian employees of the rescued vessel chanted patriotic slogans, expressing their gratitude and allegiance to the nation.
The DGP conference, where PM Modi actively participated, served as a platform for discussing various security-related matters, underscoring the importance of addressing and resolving pertinent issues concerning national security. The conference witnessed in-depth deliberations on multifaceted aspects of security to enhance and strengthen the country’s security apparatus.
