Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended birthday greetings to Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda on Tuesday, commending his unwavering dedication to public service and his role in strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Modi highlighted Nadda’s organisational abilities, humble demeanour, and significant contributions to governance and development.
Sharing his message on X, PM Modi wrote: “Best wishes to J.P. Nadda on his birthday. He is widely respected for his humble and affable personality. He is known for his organisational skills and passion towards good governance. His role in making the BJP stronger is laudatory. Equally noteworthy are his efforts to improve India’s health infrastructure as well as our strides in the chemicals and fertilisers sector. May God bless him with a long and healthy life.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his wishes, emphasising Nadda’s commitment to expanding healthcare access across the nation.
“Heartfelt birthday wishes to J.P. Nadda, the National President of BJP and Union Health Minister,” Shah wrote on X. “You are continuously working towards fulfilling the resolve of Modi ji to ensure affordable and quality healthcare reaches every individual. At the same time, you have played an appreciable role in the expansion of the organisation. I pray to God for your good health and long life.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath echoed similar sentiments, praising Nadda’s dedication to the nation’s development and the welfare of party workers.
“Your dedication to the nation’s interest, karma yoga, and spirit of service serve as invaluable inspiration for all party workers,” he posted, extending his prayers for Nadda’s health and continued success.
Born on 2 December 1960 in Patna and closely associated with Himachal Pradesh, JP Nadda began his political journey with his election to the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Bilaspur in 1993.
He won re-election in 1998 and served as the state’s Health Minister, where he strengthened local healthcare systems.
The Bharatiya Janata Party appointed Nadda as its National General Secretary in 2010.
Two years later, he entered the Rajya Sabha, marking a significant step towards national leadership.
From 2014 to 2019, he served as India’s Health Minister, playing a crucial role in shaping national health policies.
His leadership trajectory continued when the BJP appointed him as its Working President in June 2019.
In January 2020, he took charge as the party’s National President, guiding the organisation through key elections and reforms.
Nadda’s birthday drew messages of appreciation from across the political spectrum, highlighting his influence, administrative experience, and enduring commitment to strengthening India’s development and democratic framework.
