PM Modi & Leaders Extend Birthday Wishes To Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla; Praise His Tireless Service

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended heartfelt birthday greetings to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, commending his unwavering commitment to strengthening parliamentary processes and promoting constructive debate.

Om Birla, a three-time MP from Kota, commands widespread respect for his calm leadership and ability to foster unity within the House.

In his message posted on X, PM Modi wrote: “My best wishes to Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla Ji on his birthday. He is known for his calm leadership and unifying presence in the House.”

The Prime Minister praised Birla’s efforts to ensure that parliamentary functioning remains productive and people-centric, adding that his dedication has earned him wide admiration.

Birla currently serves as the 18th Speaker of the Lok Sabha, having been re-elected to the position on 26 June.

Before entering Parliament, he represented the Kota South Assembly constituency in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from 2003 to 2014.

A senior BJP leader, he was born into a Marwari Hindu family and holds a master’s degree in commerce from Government Commerce College, Kota, and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed his wishes on X, praising Birla’s thoughtful conduct and steadfast commitment to parliamentary values.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari joined in the greetings, offering prayers for Birla’s good health, long life and continued service to the nation.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma described Birla as a distinguished leader with ‘eloquent oratory, a simple and straightforward demeanour, and a diligent personality’.

He said Birla’s balanced and visionary leadership has enhanced the democratic decorum of Parliament.

Sharma added that Birla has established ‘new traditions of dialogue, cooperation and meaningful deliberation’, shaping a model of politics that places public welfare above all.

He further praised Birla’s contribution to the ‘sacred yagna of nation-building’, calling it exceptionally commendable.

The Chief Minister concluded his message with a prayer to Lord Ram, wishing Birla a long, healthy and fulfilling life dedicated to public service.
