PM Modi Pays Tribute To Indian Army On Operation Sindoor Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Army while marking the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, India’s 2025 military operation targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives.

In a post shared on social media, the Prime Minister honoured the armed forces for safeguarding national dignity and responding decisively to terrorism.

The tribute coincided with commemorations linked to Operation Sindoor, which remains one of India’s most significant recent counter-terror operations.

The post prominently featured a Bhagavad Gita shloka centred on the duty of a Kshatriya. The verse underlined that a warrior must never retreat from a righteous battle fought to defend dharma, justice and honour.

Operation Sindoor was launched in May 2025 after the Pahalgam terror attack shocked the nation.
