PM Modi Meets Mike Bloomberg As Firm Marks 30 Years In India; Plans Expansion

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India’s economic growth continues to generate significant opportunities across sectors as Bloomberg marked 30 years of operations in the country.

In a post on a social media platform on Tuesday, PM Modi said he was pleased to meet Bloomberg LP co-founder and majority owner Mike Bloomberg earlier in the day. He congratulated the global financial information and media company on completing three decades in India and welcomed its plans to expand its presence.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “It was a delight meeting you this morning. Congratulations to Bloomberg on completing 30 years in India. We welcome Bloomberg’s plans to expand its presence in India and deepen its engagement with our economy, markets and people.”

“India’s growth story continues to create immense opportunities across sectors,” the post further read.

Bloomberg shared details of his interaction with PM Modi, highlighting India’s economic transformation and growing role in global affairs. He said the Prime Minister had overseen strong economic growth and India’s emergence as a global leader, while continuing to pursue ambitious goals for the country’s future.

“As India’s longest serving elected Prime Minister for consecutive terms, @narendramodi has overseen India’s rapid economic growth and rise to global leadership, and he has ambitious visions for its future,” Bloomberg wrote on X.

Bloomberg said his discussions with PM Modi covered the company’s three-decade journey in India and its plans to expand its operations further.

“I was glad to spend time talking with him about @Bloomberg‘s 30th year in India and our plans to expand in the country,” the post further added.

The interaction comes as India continues to attract attention from international businesses and investors seeking opportunities in its economy and financial markets.
