Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the efforts and commitment of Delhi BJP leaders before opening the party’s new office in the city.
He said the new building would inspire renewed energy, focus and confidence within the organisation.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “The history of BJP workers in Delhi has been a unique example of struggle and dedication. Amidst every challenge, they not only kept the organisation alive but also made an extraordinary contribution to strengthening it.”
“I am fully confident that the permanent state office built for them will infuse the organisation with new strength, new direction, and renewed self-confidence. I will have the good fortune to participate in its inauguration ceremony around 5 PM,” the post further added.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and other leaders performed prayers at the new office located at 5, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, close to the National BJP office.
Delhi CM Gupta shared on X that the house entry pooja and Havan were completed and posted a teaser about PM Modi’s visit.
The new Delhi BJP building covers around 825 square meters and is designed in the South Indian architectural style. It has five floors:
The journey of Delhi BJP leaders began after independence from Naya Bazar. During the Jana Sangh era, the office was in Naya Bazar.
Later, the office moved to Ajmeri Gate, then 20 Rakabganj Road, and finally 14 Pandit Pant Marg near Parliament, where it remained for 35 years.
The new office aims to provide modern facilities for party workers while continuing the long history of the BJP’s presence in Delhi.
