PM Modi Inaugurates ₹34,200 Crore Projects In Gujarat; Highlights ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates and lays the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹34,200 crore during the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ programme in Bhavnagar.

Addressing the gathering at Jawahar Maidan, he stresses the significance of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, or self-reliant India, as the nation charts its growth across multiple sectors.

A key focus of the event is the maritime sector, with projects exceeding ₹7,870 crore aimed at enhancing port infrastructure, cruise tourism, and inland waterways.

The Prime Minister inaugurates the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock and lays the foundation stone for a new container terminal at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata.

Additional upgrades include cargo facilities at Paradip Port, the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal in Gujarat, and modernisation projects at Chennai, Kamarajar, Car Nicobar Island, and Deendayal ports.

Gujarat Projects & Renewable Energy Initiatives

In Gujarat, PM Modi launches projects worth ₹26,354 crore across renewable energy, healthcare, roadways, urban transport, and industrial development.

Highlights include the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port, the Acrylics and Oxo Alcohol Project at the IOCL Refinery, the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, the 475 MW PM-KUSUM solar feeder, the 45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project, and the solarisation of Dhordo village.

The Prime Minister lays foundation stones for expansions at Sir T General Hospital in Bhavnagar and Guru Govind Singh Government Hospital in Jamnagar.

He also inaugurates the four-laning of 70 kilometres of national highways, enhancing connectivity and trade routes across the state.

Highlighting India’s maritime potential, PM Modi notes that the ocean presents immense opportunities for economic growth.

He praises local initiatives such as the ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, blood donation camps, and cleanliness drives. He also underscores the need for self-reliance to secure the nation’s future.

PM Modi undertakes an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region. The greenfield industrial city is designed around sustainable industrialisation, smart infrastructure, and global investment, signalling India’s ambition to balance economic growth with strategic planning.
