PM Modi Highlights Women Empowerment Ahead Of Bhopal Visit: MP Minister

Anticipation is mounting across Madhya Pradesh as PM Narendra Modi prepares to visit Bhopal on Saturday to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.

The Prime Minister will attend the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan, a large-scale event dedicated to women’s empowerment.

PM Modi’s Actions Reflect His Commitment: MP Minister

State Minister Pratima Bagri lauded the Prime Minister’s commitment to women-centric initiatives ahead of his arrival.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only speaks about women’s empowerment but demonstrates it through action,” said Bagri. “This event, organised in honour of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary, will serve as a source of strength and inspiration for women across Madhya Pradesh.”

Women Prepare A Grand Traditional Welcome

At Bhopal’s Jamboree Ground, women dressed in sindoor-coloured sarees are gathering in large numbers to welcome the Prime Minister.

Attendees charge the venue with excitement and cultural pride as they prepare for a traditional welcome.

“I am eagerly waiting for PM Modi’s arrival,” said one of the women at the venue. “I am deeply impressed by what he has done for women in our country.”

Another added, “We’ve been looking forward to this day. We are ready to give him a grand welcome.”

PM Modi’s Major Announcements And Projects

PM Modi is scheduled to participate in the Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan at 11:15 AM.

He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of major development and infrastructure projects, many of which prioritise women’s empowerment and improvements to public amenities.

Honouring Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s Legacy

The Prime Minister will release a postage stamp and a Rs 300 coin to honour the 18th-century reformist queen.

The government will present the National Devi Ahilyabai Award to a woman artist for her work in tribal, folk, and traditional arts.

As part of his visit, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for ghat construction worth over Rs 860 crore on the Kshipra River in Ujjain.

The project is a critical step in the preparations for the Simhastha Mahakumbh 2028.
