PM Modi Highlights Unity In Diversity & Urges Kids To Use Summer Vacations Productively In ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 120th episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, emphasized India’s cultural unity and diversity through its festivals.

He celebrated the numerous festivals observed across the country, noting how they reflect the rich traditions and regional significance of India’s diverse states.

PM Modi Extended Greetings For Chaitra Navratri

PM Modi extended his best wishes for Chaitra Navratri, Eid, and other regional festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Vishu, and Poila Baisakh.

He also mentioned the upcoming festive period between April 13-15, filled with grand celebrations.

“These festivals may differ by region, but they showcase how unity is woven into India’s diversity,” PM Modi remarked, underlining the importance of fostering a sense of national unity through these celebrations.

The Prime Minister encouraged citizens to embrace these festivals, which are not only a time of joy but also an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s rich cultural heritage.

PM Modi Urges Students To ‘Make the Most of Summer Vacations’ At Mann Ki Baat

In his Mann Ki Baat address, PM Modi also urged children to make the most of their summer vacations by adopting new hobbies and enhancing their skills.

“The summer break is the perfect time to explore new activities. I remember my own childhood days when we engaged in fun and learned new things at the same time,” he shared, calling on children to engage in productive activities during the holidays.

PM Modi highlighted opportunities like technological camps focused on app development, open-source software, environmental courses, and theatre workshops.

He also encouraged participation in volunteer services and urged children and parents to share their experiences with the hashtag ‘My Holidays’ to help others discover opportunities nationwide.

To further support students during the vacation period, the government introduced the ‘My Bharat’ calendar, offering a range of educational and cultural activities.

PM Modi’s message focused on using the summer break to develop skills and contribute to society.
