PM Modi praised the collective spirit embodied by the Maha Kumbh, where people from all walks of life come together at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. “Here, differences of caste, community, and religion dissolve. People come together, united in purpose, to take a dip in the holy Triveni,” he remarked, emphasizing the Kumbh’s role in promoting social harmony.
The Prime Minister noted the role of cleanliness in the success of this grand event. “Cleanliness is essential to making Kumbh successful. The Namami Gange program has rapidly advanced sanitation efforts, and thousands of sanitation workers will ensure that Prayagraj remains clean during the event. I express my gratitude to these workers for their dedication,” he added.
PM Modi described the Maha Kumbh as not just a physical event, but as a spiritual “Maha Yagya” that fosters unity. “Instead of an external system, the Kumbh represents the consciousness of the inner soul. This awakening draws people from every corner of India to the banks of the Sangam. It is a Maha Yagya where all discrimination is sacrificed,” he explained, reinforcing the idea that the Kumbh is a symbol of national unity.
Describing Prayagraj as the heart of India’s spiritual landscape, PM Modi said, “When the sun enters Capricorn during the Magh month, it is said that all divine powers and sages converge at Prayagraj.” He further elaborate on the sacredness of Prayagraj, highlighting its significance in the Puranas and the Vedas, where it is praise as a city of sanctity and divine energy.
“Our India is a country of holy places and pilgrimages. The Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Kaveri, and Narmada rivers are integral to our culture.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated several important infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing Prayagraj’s facilities for the Maha Kumbh 2025. These include 10 new road over-bridges and flyovers, permanent ghats, and riverfront roads to improve connectivity and infrastructure.
“Today, we are laying the foundation for a successful and well-organized Maha Kumbh 2025,” concluded PM Modi, expressing his confidence that the event will be a symbol of India’s spiritual leadership on the global stage.
