He also pointed to the expansion of medical education through new institutions and increased seats, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure.

Introduced in 2018, Ayushman Bharat has expanded health insurance coverage for millions of families.
PM Modi said the scheme reflects the government’s focus on supporting poor and middle-class households by providing eligible beneficiaries with health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh. He also highlighted the contribution of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Jan Aushadhi Kendras and digital health initiatives, noting that Ayushman Cards and Jan Aushadhi Kendras have helped families save nearly ₹2.25 lakh crore in healthcare costs.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring accessible, affordable healthcare for all.
