PM Modi Extends Birthday Wishes To Mallikarjun Kharge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his birthday greetings to Congress President and Rajya Sabha Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, wishing him a healthy and long life.

Sharing a message on X, the Prime Minister prayed for Kharge’s well-being and extended his best wishes on the occasion.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Birthday greetings to the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge Ji. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life.”

Mallikarjun Kharge was born on July 21, 1942, in Varawatti village in Karnataka’s Bidar district and has remained active in public life for several decades. He took over as President of the Indian National Congress in 2022 and has served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha since 2021. He has represented Karnataka in the Upper House of Parliament since 2020.

As one of the Congress party’s most experienced leaders, Mallikarjun Kharge continues to play an important role in national politics.

Birthday greetings from leaders across the political spectrum highlighted his decades of public service and contribution to India’s parliamentary democracy.
