PM Modi Expresses Confidence In NDA Support In Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the political mood in Kerala is in favour of the National Democratic Alliance, as he prepared to campaign in the poll-bound state.

In a message shared on the social media platform X, he said he looked forward to interacting with people during his visit, which includes a public rally and a roadshow.

He stated that he would address a gathering in Palakkad before participating in a roadshow in Thrissur.

The Prime Minister also criticised the governance of the Left Democratic Front and the United Democratic Front, saying that people were seeking change.

Authorities have tightened security in Coimbatore ahead of the Prime Minister’s brief transit, placing several areas under high-security cover and restricting both air and ground movement.

Officials have banned drones in sensitive zones and declared key routes such as Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Kalapatti and Singanallur as Red Zones until Sunday evening.

Security teams are monitoring movement around the clock through checkpoints and surveillance systems, while authorities have deployed nearly 5,000 personnel, supported by a three-tier security grid at the airport and nearby areas.

The Prime Minister will arrive by air and travel by helicopter to Kerala for campaigning ahead of the April 9 Assembly elections.

He will campaign for NDA candidates, including Padmaja Venugopal, as electioneering gathers pace.
