Delhi CM Rekha Gupta on Wednesday hailed the Indian Armed Forces’ precision offensive under Operation Sindoor, calling it a historic act of justice.
She lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling his promise to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives, including one Nepali national.
“Today, 140 crore citizens bow in gratitude to our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the brave armed forces,” Gupta said. “They have delivered justice to the families of those brutally killed.”
Gupta called the military operation a bold and necessary step, saying, “Operation Sindoor taught Pakistan a serious lesson.”
PM Modi promised justice to the women of this country, and he has kept that promise.”
She also slammed critics questioning the strikes. “Those raising doubts should head to the front lines and pick up weapons. Our armed forces have shown unmatched courage. Pakistan has received its strongest message yet.”
BJP leader Ravinder Singh Negi echoed the sentiment, stating, “This is a direct and fitting response to the Pahalgam massacre. The nation stands united as it eliminates terrorists. Even the opposition’s support sends a powerful message.”
Operation Sindoor targeted nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in a coordinated tri-services operation.
The strikes, carried out with high precision, responded to the Pahalgam attack, which Indian agencies traced to Pakistan-based terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba and its proxy, The Resistance Front.
Prime Minister Modi closely monitored the operation overnight, coordinating with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and top military leaders. The Indian Army confirmed that all targets were strictly terrorist bases, with no civilian or Pakistani military sites harmed.
An Army spokesperson stated, “We focused our actions and executed them with precision. We struck only terrorist camps from which they planned and executed attacks on India.”
The Indian Army posted on X, “Justice is served. Jai Hind.”
India recognises Operation Sindoor as its most significant counter-terror strike since the 2019 Balakot airstrikes.
The mission reaffirmed the country’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and its readiness to hold perpetrators accountable.
