PM Modi Declares 21st Century As India’s Century; Highlights Andhra Pradesh Development And Global Investments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed confidence that the 21st century will belong to India.

Speaking at the ‘Super GST Super Saving’ public meeting in Nannuru village, Kurnool district, he stated, “The 21st century is going to be the century of India. The 21st century is going to be the century of 140 crore Indians.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to development by laying the foundation stone and dedicating multiple projects worth around Rs 13,430 crore.

These initiatives aim to enhance connectivity, boost industry, and improve ease of living across Andhra Pradesh, contributing to the broader vision of Viksit Bharat.

PM Modi lauded Andhra Pradesh as a land of rich culture, science, innovation, and immense potential, emphasising the role of visionary leadership under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

He highlighted the synergy between Delhi and Amaravati, describing the ‘double-engine government’ as accelerating the state’s development.

He projected that India will achieve full development by 2047, its centenary of independence, with Andhra Pradesh setting an example of progress.

“The vision of Swarnandhra is inspiring the vision of Viksit Bharat. The entire world is watching the speed and scope of India and Andhra Pradesh,” he remarked.

Global Investments and Technological Milestones

PM Modi welcomed Google’s announcement of India’s first artificial intelligence hub in Andhra Pradesh, praising the state’s global appeal.

The new AI hub will feature advanced AI infrastructure, data centres, large-scale energy sources, and an expanded fibre-optic network. An international subsea gateway will link Visakhapatnam to global networks, establishing the city as a hub for AI and connectivity that serves both India and the world.

The Prime Minister congratulated the people of Andhra Pradesh. He also commended Chandrababu Naidu for his vision in attracting significant investments. These investments position the state at the forefront of technology and innovation.

Earlier, PM Modi offered prayers at the Srisailam temple, reflecting on the significance of Jyotirlingas and drawing spiritual inspiration.

He also visited the Shivaji Inspiration Centre, paying respects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He acknowledged the role of historical and cultural heritage in shaping India’s modern identity.
