PM Modi Congratulates Karnataka MLA Suresh Kumar For 702-Km Cycling Feat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally called Karnataka BJP MLA Suresh Kumar to congratulate him on completing a 702-kilometre cycling journey from Bengaluru to Kanyakumari.

The remarkable journey, which took place recently, marks Suresh Kumar’s second long-distance cycling expedition, achieved 51 years after his previous ride.

The Prime Minister described the feat as both commendable and inspirational, praising Suresh Kumar’s determination to maintain fitness despite health challenges.

The call reportedly delighted the MLA, who shared the experience on social media, noting that PM Modi enquired about the journey and applauded his efforts to regain control over his health.

At 70 years old, Suresh Kumar represents the Rajajinagar Assembly constituency.

In his social media post, he highlighted that the cycling journey carried a strong fitness message. Completing the 702-kilometre route in 37 hours, the trip showcased his physical endurance and mental resolve.

The journey began in Bengaluru and concluded at Kanyakumari, with the legislator pushing through tough terrain and long hours.

Citizens across Karnataka and his party colleagues have widely shared and celebrated his feat, and they draw inspiration to focus on health and physical activity regardless of age.

Triumph Over Health Challenges

Earlier, doctors advised Suresh Kumar to rest and take caution due to a serious illness. However, he refused to let the illness limit him.

Moreover, by cycling extensively, he maintained his fitness and demonstrated resilience, turning personal recovery into an inspirational story for all ages.

PM Modi highlighted that stories like these encourage citizens to stay fit and embrace a lifestyle of health and wellness.

The Prime Minister has consistently promoted yoga, exercise, and disciplined living as key to individual and societal well-being.

Suresh Kumar’s journey underscores that age is no barrier to achieving fitness goals. BJP workers, citizens, and social media users have lauded the MLA’s dedication, noting the motivation it provides to pursue personal health goals.

The Prime Minister’s personal call added to Suresh Kumar’s morale, reinforcing the importance of determination, willpower, and discipline.

The journey has been widely interpreted in Karnataka as a message beyond politics, focusing on health and perseverance.

As India steps into 2026, Suresh Kumar’s achievement further serves as a symbol of resilience and fitness motivation.

The story encourages youth and seniors alike to maintain physical health, pursue ambitious goals, and draw inspiration from everyday examples of determination.
