PM Modi Calls Operation Sindoor A ‘Vijay Utsav’; Urges Parliament To Celebrate Armed Forces’ Success

PM Narendra Modi on Monday described Operation Sindoor as a ‘Vijay Utsav’ (victory celebration) for the country, crediting the Indian Armed Forces for its remarkable success.

He expressed hope that the Monsoon Session of Parliament would reflect this sentiment and unite in celebrating the strength and bravery of India’s defence forces.

Addressing media persons ahead of the session, PM Modi said, “This Monsoon Session is a Vijay Utsav. The world has witnessed the strength of the Indian Armed Forces. They achieved their goal in Operation Sindoor with 100 per cent success. Within just 22 minutes, our forces neutralised the terrorists in their own territory.”

PM Modi Lauds Indian-Made Weapons and Defence Innovation

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the rising global interest in ‘Made in India’ weapons as a sign of India’s military strength.

“When I meet leaders from other countries, I can see how much interest they have in Made in India weapons. This represents a new face of India’s military power,” he said.

The PM also emphasised the potential impact of Parliament’s recognition of the operation.

“If Parliament speaks in one voice to celebrate this victory, it will inspire the youth, energise research and innovation in the defence sector, and create new employment opportunities,” he added.

PM Modi hailed the Monsoon Session as a celebration of national pride, citing astronaut Subhanshu Shukla’s recent milestone.

“When the Indian Tricolour was unfurled for the first time at the International Space Station, it marked one of the most remarkable moments in our space journey,” he said.

He added that this accomplishment has sparked excitement among India’s youth for science, innovation, and technology.

“All parliamentarians and citizens will celebrate this moment with unity and pride,” the PM remarked.

PM Modi also touched upon the positive monsoon progress, calling it a symbol of renewal and rejuvenation. “Reports show that the monsoon is favourable for agriculture, which will benefit farmers, the national economy, and the rural economy,” he stated.

By showcasing defence, space, and agriculture achievements, PM Modi set an optimistic and unifying tone for the Monsoon Session.

He called on all lawmakers to come together and celebrate India’s recent victories, both on the battlefield and beyond.
