PM Modi Calls Gujarat Symbol Of Industrial Growth And Political Stability

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Gujarat as a symbol of industrial transformation and political stability while addressing a large late-night gathering at an ‘Abhivadan’ programme in Jamnagar on Sunday. He said the state’s development over the past two decades under BJP governance had laid the foundation for continued public support for the party in future generations.

Referring to the BJP’s sweeping performance in Gujarat’s recent local body elections, where the party won more than 700 seats unopposed, PM Modi called the mandate historic and praised party workers for maintaining the BJP’s strong presence across generations of voters.

Addressing supporters, the Prime Minister remarked that such a massive victory left no room for ‘election fatigue’.

Highlighting Gujarat’s industrial progress, the Prime Minister said the state had moved far beyond its earlier dependence on salt production and had become a major manufacturing hub. He said Gujarat was now manufacturing semiconductor chips, metro coaches and railway engines, with aircraft production also in progress.

PM Modi added that the state’s achievements reflected the potential of its people, while highlighting Gujarat’s leadership in climate and renewable energy initiatives.

Referring to West Bengal, the Prime Minister claimed more than 300 BJP workers had lost their lives in political violence and said the party remained committed to the state’s progress.

Ahead of his Somnath visit, the Prime Minister recalled the upcoming 75th anniversary of the temple’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony and paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr Rajendra Prasad for their contributions to its reconstruction.

The Prime Minister also marked the anniversary of the 1857 uprising, calling it India’s First War of Independence. He received a traditional welcome in Jamnagar, where thousands gathered to greet him during his Gujarat visit.
