On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that after a five-century wait, people now have the privilege to celebrate the festival in this manner. The statement came as Ayodhya prepares for its first Ram Navami celebration following the Pran Pratistha ceremony at the Ram temple.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “The first Ram Navami after the Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya is a generational milestone, weaving together centuries of devotion with a new era of hope and progress. Innumerable people devoted their lives to this sacred cause.”
“May the blessings of Prabhu Shri Ram always remain upon us and guide our paths towards righteousness and peace, illuminating our lives with wisdom and courage,” the PM added.
The Prime Minister further reiterated that memories of the Ayodhya Pran Pratistha ceremony still resonate strongly with him.
Acharya Satyendra Das, Chief Priest of Ram Janmabhoomi temple, said “Chappan Bhog offered to Ram Lalla. Complete arrangements have been made. Today is Ram Navami’s fair. Devotees are offering prayers and everything is special today.”
Meanwhile, a large number of devotees flooded Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, showcasing a vibrant manifestation of their faith and jubilation.
Before visiting the temple, devotees took a dip in the holy waters of the Saryu River in Ayodhya.
Regarding security arrangements, Praveen Kumar, IG, Ayodhya Range said that arrangements have been made for devotees.
As per reports, the celebration will be broadcasted on LED screens. There will also be live broadcasts on the trust’s social media accounts.
