PM Modi At SRCC: From 2013 Turmoil To India’s Rise, Prime Minister Takes Aim At Opposition

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday assailed the Opposition, contrasting India’s current strength with the turmoil witnessed in 2013.

Speaking at SRCC’s centenary celebrations, PM Modi revisited his earlier ‘Dimagi Naxals’ remark while recalling the country’s past challenges.

PM Modi referred to his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort on August 15. He said the phrase acted like a ‘homoeopathic pill’ for his critics.

“Homoeopathic treatment only aggravates the disease for a short time. As soon as I gave this pill, all the mental Naxals started coming out. But the public is seeing their true colours,” he said.

PM Modi described two groups in India. One uses society’s strength to advance the nation. The other behaves like a ‘Naraz Fufa’ or angry uncle, questioning every major initiative.

Prime Minister Modi cited the world’s largest statue, bullet trains, UPI, chips and the new Parliament as examples.

PM Modi said critics repeatedly questioned their necessity. He further added that India gave a befitting reply to such criticism.

The Prime Minister recalled the 2013 Kedarnath disaster and the 2008 banking crisis. He further mentioned the Mumbai terror attack of 2008.

Prime Minister Modi said his government faced COVID-19, the Russia-Ukraine war and the Iran conflict.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s expanding global trade. The country has signed free trade agreements with nearly 40 nations over the past decade.

“When new markets open, new opportunities arise for India’s youth,” he said.

India is now more economically and socially secure than in 2013, PM Modi stated. He expressed faith in the nation’s 1.4 billion people and its younger generation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned India becoming a research and innovation hub. He further predicted an Indian space station and an Olympics hosted by India.

Addressing SRCC students, PM Modi contrasted campus life with opportunities beyond college. He said young Indians now dream of startups, unicorns and space ventures.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged students to build globally influential Indian companies. He further concluded with a call for self-reliance and a developed India.
