PM Modi Applauds Kashi’s Progress, Distributes Prizes at Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita Event

During a visit to Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the advancement and vitality of Kashi, expressing pride in the city’s resurgence. Addressing attendees at the Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita prize distribution ceremony held at Banaras Hindu University, PM Modi emphasized the pivotal role of students in shaping the nation’s future during the ‘Amrit Kaal.’

Highlighting Kashi’s spiritual significance, PM Modi attributed its prosperity to the blessings of Lord Mahadev, asserting that the city’s development resonates with divine favor. He underscored the remarkable transformation witnessed in Kashi over the past decade, attributing it to divine blessings and collective efforts.

PM Modi congratulated the winners of the Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita competition and extended his best wishes to their parents for their children’s achievements. Following the ceremony, he proceeded to partake in pooja and darshan at Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali, marking the revered saint’s 647th birth anniversary.

Subsequently, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate multiple development projects in Varanasi, including highway expansions, railway infrastructure enhancements, and the inauguration of a new LPG Bottling Plant by HPCL. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for initiatives aimed at beautifying Varanasi, such as pond restoration, park redevelopment, and the creation of a 3-D Urban Digital map and database.

The visit underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure and fostering sustainable growth in Varanasi, furthering the city’s status as a symbol of cultural heritage and modern development.
