PM Modi And BJP Leaders Extend Warm Wishes To LK Advani On His 98th Birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Saturday extended heartfelt greetings to veteran leader Lal Krishna Advani on his 98th birthday.

PM Modi hailed Advani as a ‘statesman blessed with towering vision and intellect’ and praised his lifelong service to the nation.

In a post shared on X, Prime Minister Modi commended Advani’s unwavering dedication to India’s growth and democratic values.

He wrote, “Advani Ji’s life has been dedicated to strengthening India’s progress. He has always embodied the spirit of selfless duty and steadfast principles.”

PM Modi also wished the BJP stalwart good health and long life, highlighting his role as a guiding light in Indian politics for over seven decades.

Leaders Recall Advani’s Contribution to the BJP

Birthday greetings poured in from across the political spectrum. BJP leaders and ministers recalled Advani’s monumental role in shaping the party’s identity and reach.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari described him as ‘our inspiration, Bharat Ratna, and a revered statesman whose leadership continues to guide generations’.

Similarly, Shivraj Singh Chouhan called Advani ‘a symbol of integrity and service in politics’, acknowledging his role in nurturing the BJP into a national political force.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath referred to Advani as ‘a guiding force for the BJP family’ and lauded his life of devotion to the nation under the motto ‘Nation First’. He prayed for Advani’s continued health and longevity, calling his organisational skills an inspiration to millions of party workers.

A Lifetime of Service and Leadership

Lal Krishna Advani was born on 8 November 1927 in Karachi, which is now in Pakistan. He began his political journey with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1942. Over the decades, he served multiple terms as the BJP’s National President. He also played a pivotal role in expanding the party’s base nationwide.

Advani received the Bharat Ratna in March 2024. He also served as India’s Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004 under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. His enduring legacy continues to shape the ideological and organisational framework of the BJP today.
