PM Modi, Amit Shah To Launch BJP’s Bihar Campaign With Multiple Rallies On Friday

As Bihar braces for a high-stakes Assembly election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will on Friday spearhead the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign with four large rallies across the state.

According to party sources, the Prime Minister will begin his election outreach from Samastipur. The district is the native place of Karpoori Thakur, where he is scheduled to address his first rally.

Later in the day, he will hold another public meeting in Begusarai.

During his speeches, PM Modi will likely urge voters to support the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates. He is also likely to take aim at the opposition bloc.

The visit marks the Prime Minister’s first appearance in Bihar since the announcement of the election schedule.

He will likely return to the state on 30 October to address additional rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also hold two major public gatherings on 24 October, one in Siwan and another in Buxar.

This will be Shah’s second visit to Bihar within a week. During his earlier three-day trip from 16 to 18 October, he addressed a rally in Taraiya, Chhapra.

State BJP leaders have completed logistical and security preparations for the visits of both national figures, with local party units mobilised to ensure strong public participation.

The twin campaign drives by PM Modi and Shah are likely to inject momentum into the NDA’s efforts. They are likely to heighten the political atmosphere in the state.

Meanwhile, the opposition Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) is preparing to step up its own campaign.

Its senior leaders will hold a joint press conference in Patna on 23 October before launching coordinated rallies across Bihar.

With both alliances set to intensify their outreach, 24 October is likely to mark a turning point in Bihar’s election season. It will signal the formal start of the top-tier campaign phase ahead of the polls.
