PM Modi, Amit Shah Pay Tribute To Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak And Chandra Shekhar Azad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday remembered freedom fighters Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandra Shekhar Azad on their birth anniversaries, describing them as remarkable patriots whose dedication to India’s independence continues to guide the nation.

In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister hailed Lokmanya Tilak as a pioneering leader who ignited the spirit of nationalism and encouraged people to dedicate themselves to serving the country.

Paying tribute to Chandra Shekhar Azad, the Prime Minister said the revolutionary’s unmatched bravery and deep love for the nation secured him a distinguished place in the history of India’s freedom struggle.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also honoured Lokmanya Tilak, calling him one of the foremost architects of India’s freedom movement. He said Tilak inspired young Indians while championing indigenous products, Indian languages and the country’s rich cultural traditions.

The Minister also paid tribute to Chandra Shekhar Azad and said the revolutionary’s unmatched bravery and deep love for the nation secured him a distinguished place in the history of India’s freedom struggle.
