PM Modi Advocates For Indian Youth To Design Global Products

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Indian youth to design world-class products from within the country. Speaking from the Red Fort, he highlighted India’s growing manufacturing capabilities and the potential to lead in product design, including semiconductor chips.

Modi emphasized, “We should aim to design products domestically for a global market. Indian standards should become international benchmarks. We have the talent to achieve this goal.”

Currently, around 85,000 students are under training in semiconductor chip design at 113 institutions across India. These students are pursuing B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD degrees. This extensive training aims to strengthen India’s position in the global semiconductor industry. The government is committed to supporting this growth by providing necessary infrastructure and policies.
