PM Modi Accuses Congress Of Arrogance, Betraying Political Allies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday strongly criticised the Congress party during a public gathering in Bengaluru, accusing it of arrogance, poor governance and betraying long-time political allies, including the DMK in Tamil Nadu.

Addressing BJP workers and supporters near HAL Airport, PM Modi said the Congress had failed to recover politically despite once dominating Indian politics with more than 400 Lok Sabha seats several decades ago. He pointed out that the party had failed to cross the 100-seat mark in the last three general elections.

The Prime Minister alleged that instead of accepting responsibility for electoral defeats, the Congress blamed constitutional institutions, democracy, courts and other systems. He said he had never witnessed a mainstream political party react in such a manner.

PM Modi contrasted the Congress with the BJP, saying the BJP focused on welfare, development and good governance. He highlighted that millions of people had moved out of poverty under BJP-led governments and said voters continued to support the party because of its governance model.

PM Modi claimed Congress governments faced anti-incumbency due to internal conflicts and unfulfilled promises. He alleged that political infighting in states such as Karnataka and Kerala had weakened governance.

PM Modi additionally accused the Congress of betraying its political allies whenever circumstances changed.

PM Modi said the Congress benefited from its long alliance with the DMK but later distanced itself for political reasons. He also criticised the party over governance and internal conflicts in Congress-ruled states, while stating that the BJP’s electoral success reflected public support for stability and development.
