“People Affiliated With SP Goons Who Defraud The Poor,” Says UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath once again put the Samajwadi Party in the dock in the Assembly regarding the bulldozer action taken by the state government against illegal encroachers in the Akbarnagar area of Lucknow. In response to the question raised by the opposition in the House on the Akbarnagar issue, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath once again put the Samajwadi Party in the dock in the Assembly.

He said on Tuesday that we have postponed the action of Pant Nagar and Indraprastha Nagar, but if you see, most of the land mafias who cheated the poor were people associated with the Samajwadi Party. We have called for a full report of the people who have put up red marks in Indraprastha Nagar and Pant Nagar, with what intention they have done so.

If someone has done it with wrong intentions then his responsibility will also be fixed but if it has been done with caution only for marking then it is to alert people for the rearrangement of the Kukrail River.

In response to the question of House member Ravidas Mehrotra, the Chief Minister said that you must know the history of Lucknow. There was also a confluence of Gomti and Kukrail rivers in Lucknow.

Akbarnagar has been inhabited since 1984. Most of it was of illegal construction and this was the reason why it could not survive even in the High Court and the Supreme Court. We have rehabilitated those people who were wrongly registered by showing fake documents. Now Akbarnagar is not a city but has now become Soumitra Forest. To give Lucknow its identity, it has been made Soumitra Van in the name of Lord Ram’s younger brother Lakshman.

The SP member should be happy that the people of Lucknow have made you MLA and we are giving night safari to Lucknow. This means that you will earn profit and the government is giving the money. After getting such a good scheme, you should thank the government. Today you will see the Kukrail River, not a drain. Adityanath said that we have postponed the action of Pant Nagar and Indraprastha Nagar.

We have said that we will give compensation to even one person who has registered and has valid documents and that too by reviving the river. You go there and see whether there is a Kukrail river or a drain. Today you will see a river, not a drain. A river revitalization campaign is going on across the country. We say that water is life, but will we be able to imagine life by destroying it? What have you done to the Gomti River in Lucknow? On one hand, you call Gomti as mother and on the other hand you have turned the entire river into a dirty drain. You, as the MLA of Lucknow, should appreciate the government for the efforts being made to rehabilitate that river.
