After nearly 27 years, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the government in Delhi.
With the announcement of the new Chief Minister of Delhi expected soon, the BJP’s victory has been attributed to the crucial support of various communities, including the Pasmanda Muslims, who played a significant role in this achievement.
In a press statement issued by Irfan Ahmed, Chief Patron and Expander of the Pasmanda Muslim Samaj Utthan Samiti Sangh (Registered), the organization extended congratulations to BJP leaders for their remarkable victory in the Delhi Assembly elections.
Irfan Ahmed specifically acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other prominent leaders, including Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdev, Election Incharge Jai Panda, and newly elected MLAs like Satish Upadhyay (Malviya Nagar), Pravesh Verma (New Delhi), and Mohan Singh Bisht (Mustafabad).
The Pasmanda Muslim Samaj Utthan Samiti Sangh played an active role in urging the Pasmanda Muslim community in Delhi to vote for the BJP candidates. A core committee meeting of the organization, which included influential figures such as Sarfaraz Ali, Akram Shah, Fakhruddin Saifi, Haji Kallu, Mohammad Iqbal, Razik Farshiwala Qureshi, Suleman Bhai Gadhiya, and Ehtisham Bhai, discussed the importance of supporting the BJP in the election.
The committee emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has reached new heights of development, but Delhi, as the capital, has lacked the progress witnessed in other parts of the country. The BJP was seen as the party capable of driving the necessary reforms to transform Delhi into a city that truly represents the nation’s growth and development.
Mohammad Irfan Ahmed, former member of the Central Waqf Council and All India Haj Committee, and a former BJP candidate for the Okhla assembly seat, spoke about the significance of the BJP’s development agenda.
According to him, the credit for the victory in Delhi goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the country has witnessed unprecedented progress under his leadership. Irfan emphasized that the double-engine government (BJP in both the center and Delhi) will ensure that Delhi shines and benefits from the development seen across the nation.
Irfan Ahmed proudly shared that the appeal made by the Pasmanda Muslim Samaj Utthan Samiti Sangh had a profound impact.
The backward Pasmanda Muslim community, historically considered underrepresented, voted in large numbers for the BJP candidates, contributing to the party’s victory in the capital. The significance of this support cannot be overstated, as it marked a pivotal moment for the community in the political landscape of Delhi.
In addition to Irfan Ahmed, the National President of Pasmanda Muslim Samaj Utthan Samiti Sangh, Ehsan Abbasi, and other organization officials also expressed their congratulations to the BJP and its winning candidates.
They specifically highlighted the success of former NDMC Vice Chairman Satish Upadhyaya and MLA Mohan Singh Bisht, who won from Malviya Nagar and Mustafabad, respectively.
