The Pasmanda Muslim Samaj Utthan Samiti Sangh has announced its support for BJP candidates in Maharashtra, including Advocate Ashish Shelar from Bandra West (177). Irfan Ahmed, the group’s chief patron, handed a letter of support to BJP National President J.P. Nadda and Maharashtra BJP President Ashish Shelar.
At a press conference, Ahmed praised the Modi government’s welfare schemes. He said these programs uplifted the Pasmanda Muslim community and connected them to the mainstream. Ahmed accused Congress of misleading the community for decades while denying them basic facilities.
Ahmed stated that the BJP’s initiatives brought significant development since 2014. He credited the Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra for launching schemes to empower the Pasmanda Muslim community.
Ahmed urged the community, which makes up 80% of Maharashtra’s Muslim population, to vote for BJP candidates. He emphasized support for Ashish Shelar in Bandra West.
Senior BJP leaders, including Haji Haider Azam, Ehsan Abbasi, and Razik Farshiwala Qureshi, welcomed the endorsement. They assured continued efforts to improve the lives of the Pasmanda Muslim community.
The Pasmanda Muslim Samaj’s backing strengthens the BJP’s prospects in the Maharashtra assembly elections.
