Operation Sindoor Set To Feature In NCERT Textbooks From Classes 3 To 12

Operation Sindoor, India’s targeted military strikes against terror infrastructure inside Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), will now be part of the textbooks of the National Education Research and Training (NCERT).

The move aims to educate the students on India’s military prowess and valour of the armed forces, Hindustan Times reported, citing an education ministry source.

The NCERT is developing two special modules on Operation Sindoor, which will supplement the standard textbooks; the first module will be for students of Classes 3 to 8, and the second module will be designed for Classes 9 to 12.

Parliament to Debate Operation Sindoor

The Parliament will likely hold a special discussion on Operation Sindoor in the ongoing Monsoon Session.

Union Parliamentary Minister Kiren Rijiju confirmed that the Lok Sabha will hold a discussion on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor on July 28.

The Rajya Sabha is likely to debate the Operation Sindoor on July 29. Both the house allotted 16 hours each to discuss the Operation.

As per some media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also speak during the discussion over Operation Sindoor.

Following the dastardly attack on innocent citizens in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which left 27 dead, mostly tourists, India launched strikes targeting terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

However, India clarified its stand that the strikes aimed at terror harbours, nothing to do with the Pakistan military and civilian targets.

It sparked a four-day military confrontation with Pakistan involving fighter jets, missiles, drones, long-range weapons and heavy artillery before the two sides reached an understanding on stopping all military action on May 10.

The terrorist identified and killed tourists based on their religious identity. They asked them to recite Kalma and strip the Male tourists to identify their religion.
