One Nation, One Election’ Must For India’s Future: Rajnath Singh

Kushinagar: Union Minister Rajnath Singh said  that repeated elections are bad for the country and that attempts will be made to implement a ”one nation, one election” system in the next five years. Singh stated that the prime minister and the party feel that frequent elections are bad and that Lok Sabha and assembly elections should be held simultaneously throughout the country.

”In five years, we would do our utmost to establish preparations for one nation, one election,” the defense minister said while addressing a poll meeting in favor of BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Dubey from Kushinagar. He went on to compliment Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in propelling the country to new heights.

“Today, when India talks, the world listens,” he said, adding that while leaders in Pakistan praise India, Congress and Samajwadi Party members do not comprehend this. “They (SP and Congress) are opposing Narendra Modi,” he stated.

The senior BJP politician stated that India has become the world’s fifth biggest economy, which he credits to Prime Minister Modi. He predicted that by 2027, India’s GDP will be the third biggest.

“Have no doubt that India will become a developed country by 2047, but if our administration continues in this manner, India will be the world’s largest economy by 2070,” Singh stated.

Kushinagar will vote in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections on June 1.
