NTA Announces NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date After Paper Leak Row

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday announced that the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 will be conducted on Sunday, June 21, following the cancellation of the earlier examination amid allegations of a paper leak.

In an official statement shared on X, the NTA said it had scheduled the re-examination with the approval of the Government of India.

The agency also urged students and parents to rely only on official communication channels for updates and information regarding the examination.

The NTA earlier cancelled the NEET (UG) 2026 examination conducted on May 3 after concerns emerged over the integrity of the exam process.

Around 22.79 lakh candidates had registered for the medical entrance examination this year.

The NTA cancelled the exam after reviewing inputs from Central agencies and findings shared by law enforcement authorities, triggering concern among students and parents nationwide.

The CBI intensified its probe into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case and brought four accused to Delhi for questioning. The accused include Dinesh Binwal, Mangilal Binwal, Vikas Binwal and Yash Yadav.

Officials said investigators are questioning them at the CBI headquarters to uncover the wider network behind the alleged racket.

Earlier, CBI teams conducted searches at properties linked to the Binwal family in Jaipur’s Jamwaramgarh area.

Investigators questioned family members and recorded statements during the operation.

Officials also seized documents, electronic gadgets and digital records from the family’s farmhouse and other associated locations as part of the ongoing probe.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to identify those involved in the alleged malpractice and ensure the integrity of one of India’s largest medical entrance examinations.
