‘Not Intoxicated With Power’: PM Modi Praises BJP Workers For Staying Committed To Public Service

Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday said BJP workers had stayed committed to public service despite years of electoral success.

PM Modi said workers had not become ‘intoxicated with power’.

Addressing a public gathering in Gujarat’s Navsari after inaugurating a BJP office, PM Modi highlighted the district’s enduring support for the party.

PM Modi said several generations of voters had consistently backed the BJP. He said the party’s workers had maintained their service-oriented approach despite receiving sustained public support.

The Prime Minister cited Navsari’s electoral record and recalled that voters had elected Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil with what PM Modi described as the country’s highest vote tally.

Prime Minister Modi said electoral success should never breed complacency among BJP workers. He stressed that BJP workers must continue grassroots service beyond electoral politics.

PM Modi cited cleanliness campaigns across Navsari, conducted village by village with public participation. He said government agencies could undertake routine tasks, but people-led initiatives created lasting change and strengthened public confidence.

PM Modi described power, positions, prestige and the organisation as instruments of public service. He said the new Navsari office should become a contact point for citizens, a refuge for people in distress and a source of hope against injustice.

Prime Minister Modi said constructing a building was not difficult.

PM Modi stressed that the greater task was expanding the organisation’s tradition of service and reaching people beyond its existing support base.

The Prime Minister called for an inclusive approach that addresses every section of society. He urged BJP workers to treat Navsari as one family and regard service to every citizen as their responsibility.
