Northeast Leaders Hail PM Modi As ‘True Son of Mother India’ On 75th Birthday

Governors, Chief Ministers, and MPs from all eight Northeastern states greeted PM Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday on Wednesday, describing him as a ‘true son of Mother India’.

States across the region marked the occasion with various programmes, including a fortnight-long Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

PM Modi Launches Key National Campaigns

From Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi launched two major initiatives. These included the nationwide Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah.

Governors, Chief Ministers, and senior leaders from the Northeast joined the event virtually.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called PM Modi ‘the true son of Mother India and the visionary of the era’. He prayed to Maa Kamakhya and Srimanta Shankaradev for the Prime Minister’s long life and health.

Sarma also announced that Assam would observe Seva Saptah through mega health camps and blood donation drives. He added that the state would hold plantation programmes and welfare activities.

Tripura CM Manik Saha said PM Modi’s leadership has woven a ‘tapestry of progress’ with Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat. He described the Prime Minister as ‘our pride, our yug purush, and our guiding star’, and prayed for his strength and wisdom to lead India further.

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu praised PM Modi for bringing the state into India’s growth story. He highlighted progress in roads, schools, health, and education while appreciating the PM’s focus on cultural preservation and sustainable development.

Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio wished PM Modi good health, wisdom, and happiness. Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma lauded his ‘unwavering commitment to India’s growth’ and said his leadership is steadily guiding the nation towards Viksit Bharat.

Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang hailed PM Modi’s visionary leadership under Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. He said Indians take great pride in his stewardship.

Former Manipur CM N Biren Singh called PM Modi a ‘guiding light for the nation’ and prayed for his good health. Rajya Sabha MP Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba also extended birthday wishes, appreciating the Prime Minister’s leadership.

Across all Northeastern states, Governors and leaders echoed gratitude and admiration for PM Modi’s leadership. They hailed his 75th birthday as a celebration not only of his life. They also called it a celebration of his vision for a united and prosperous India.
