Chief Ministers from all eight northeastern states are schedule to attend the 9th NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting in the national capital today, officials confirm on Friday. The meeting will be chair by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will take place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.
The Chief Ministers attending the meeting include Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam, Lalduhoma of Mizoram, Conrad Sangma of Meghalaya, Neiphiu Rio of Nagaland, N. Biren Singh of Manipur, Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh, Manik Saha of Tripura, and Prem Singh Tamang of Sikkim.

An official from the Mizoram Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) revealed that Lalduhoma, the President of the ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), departed for Delhi on Friday afternoon. It is anticipate that Lalduhoma will address issues concerning the state’s financial requirements during the meeting.
