Nirmala Sitharaman Admitted to AIIMS

Nirmala Sitharaman, the union finance minister, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Monday, according to the PTI news agency. “Little to nothing. She is OK “The source talked with the news organisation while requesting anonymity.

The 63-year-old has been admitted to the hospital’s private ward. Around midday, she was transported to the medical centre. She was hospitalised for a reason that was not immediately evident.

On February 1, 2023, Sitharaman is slated to deliver the Union Budget. On Friday, the minister gave a hint that her upcoming budget will “follow the spirit” of prior ones by saying that it would “continue to boost growth on the back of public expenditure.”

She presided over the virtual sessions conducted from November 21–28 for Budget 2023–24 consultations. The minister stated last week that the government closely monitors inflation to ensure there is no increase in costs.

Nirmala Sitharaman Also Visited

On the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, Finance Minister Sitharaman visited Delhi’s Sadaiv Atal and presented flowers to the former prime minister.

The finance minister recently stated that India is known as the pharmacy of the world.  India provides global quality medicine at a reasonable price during a convocation ceremony at a university in Tamil Nadu.

She said that India fulfils 50% of all generic drug demand in Africa, 40% of generic medicine demand in the USA, and 25% of all medicine demand in the UK. She stated this during the 35th annual convocation of The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University. India is reported to generate roughly 60% of the world’s vaccinations. Also 70% of the vaccines used by the World Health Organization for basic immunisation programmes.
