Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made a huge announcement today i.e. on Wednesday, which will be beneficial for the youth of the state. The chief minister said that the state government is all set to start the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sikho Kamao Yojana’ for the unemployed youth.
Briefing about the scheme, CM Chouhan said that ‘Mukhya Mantri Sikho Kamao Yojana’ has been approved by the cabinet and will begin on June 7. Under the scheme, 12th pass, ITI, diploma, graduation and post-graduation youth (18 to 29 years old) will be eligible.
Moreover, the scheme will allow over 700 works areas including engineering, electronics, mechanical, civil, management, hotel management, tourism travel, hospital, railway, ITI, software, banking, insurance, accounting, chartered accountant, including other financial services. Several other things will also be taught to the students under this scheme. Interestingly, the students or youth who will be learning through the scheme will be given a stipend.
Under the scheme, 12th-passed youth will get Rs.8000 per month. A stipend of Rs 8,500 per month will be given to ITI youths, Rs 9,000 to diploma holders and Rs 10,000 per month to youths with higher education.
After the training, the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) certificate will be given by the Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board (MPSSDEGB).
The MP CM, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the bird does not give a nest to its children; it gives wings so that they can fly the long flights of progress and development. He said that it is futile to give unemployment allowance to the youth, instead, they should be taught work and in return, they should be given money so that permanent employment can be arranged for them.
Currently, the work portal is under process; however, it will begin soon by June 7. Taking notes from the enrollment procedure, the registration of youth will be done from June 15. Their placement will start from July 15 and from July 31 online contracts will start between the establishments in which the youth will work and the state government. From August 1, 2023, the youth will start working in these establishments and after a month, the amount of stipend will start coming into their bank account through DPT i.e. direct bank transfer.

Further, CM Shivraj said that after learning work, the youth will either get employment in the same establishments or will set up their own enterprise. Children learning these jobs will also be given priority in the field of self-employment.
The MP CM also said that this is a revolutionary scheme which will not teach the youth to walk on crutches but will help them to stand on their feet and they will continue to get financial support during the learning period.
