After a very long demand by the resident of Prayagraj for a train to New Delhi finally came in existence with new Vande Bharat Express train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday flagged off the Varanasi-New Delhi second Vande Bharat Express train from Varanasi.
As Vande Bharat express train, reached Prayagraj on platform number 6 was welcomed with great fanfare. The train was welcomed by blowing the conch and showered roses and marigold flowers
Chanting of Vedic mantras, tilak was applied and flowers were showered on the train. The stage was set up on the platform itself. MP Keshari Devi Patel, Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani, District Panchayat President Vijay Kumar Singh, MLA Harsh Vardhan Bajpai, MLA Piyush Ranjan Nishad, MLA Hakim Lal Bind, MLA Guru Prasad Maurya, MLC KP Srivastava, Deepak Patel, Vikramajit Maurya etc. Flagged off the train.
Earlier welcoming the guests , North Central Railway GM Satish Kumar explained the merits of Vande Bharat he said this is a new picture of new India. Its operation will not only add to the religious, cultural and historical heritage of the nation but this train will also give a boost to industrial and economic development. Railways had organized many competitions on the theme of Vande Bharat Express.
MP Keshari Devi Patel gave prizes to the children. On the first day, school students, freedom fighters etc. were taken on a journey in Vande Bharat Express from Prayagraj Junction. Tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the passengers traveling in the Vande Bharat train operated on the first day. Everyone kept making videos or photos.
Aastha Jaiswal, who boarded Vande Bharat from Prayagraj, said that traveling in the new Vande Bharat on the first day feels no less than a VVIP
This new Vande Bharat train will leave from Varanasi at 6 am and will reach Prayagraj Junction at around 7:30 am. It will leave from Prayagraj and reach Kanpur Central at 9:30 am and New Delhi at 2 pm.
Similarly, on return, this train is scheduled to depart from New Delhi at 3 pm. It will reach Kanpur Central at 7.08 pm, Prayagraj Junction at 9.08 pm and Varanasi at around 11 pm
