The Chief Minister also prayed for Maa Chandraghanta’s blessings to help people follow truth, righteousness and duty. He shared a Sanskrit verse and mantra dedicated to the Goddess.

Devotees worship Maa Chandraghanta, the third manifestation of Goddess Durga, on Navratri’s third day, seeking courage, peace, strength and protection from evil.

Shardiya Navratri began on October 11, with devotees across the country observing the nine-day festival through prayers, fasting, temple visits and special pujas.

During the festival, devotees seek divine blessings for happiness, prosperity and well-being. Temples witness special prayers and religious ceremonies as devotees observe traditional customs and express their devotion to the Goddess.

The celebrations will culminate in Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, which symbolises the victory of good over evil.
