Navratri 2026: PM Modi Wishes Prosperity, Confidence On Maa Kalaratri Saptami

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended greetings on the seventh day of Shardiya Navratri, praying that Maa Kalaratri’s blessings bring renewed energy, confidence and prosperity to people across the country.

In a post on X, PM Modi said the day was dedicated to the worship of Maa Kalaratri and prayed that the goddess’s blessings illuminate everyone’s lives with fresh energy and confidence. He further wished for prosperity for all through the divine grace of Devi Maa.

“Today, during Navratri, is the special day for the worship of Mother Kalratri. May their blessings illuminate everyone’s life with new energy and fresh confidence. May there be prosperity for all by the divine grace of Devi Ma; this is the prayer,” the post read.

PM Modi shared a link to the Odia devotional song Jay Durga Maa, performed by Antara and Jyotirmayee.

The seventh day of Shardiya Navratri, known as Saptami, is dedicated to Maa Kalaratri, the seventh form of Goddess Durga. She is worshipped for her power to destroy evil, remove fear and protect devotees from negative forces.

Despite her fierce appearance, Maa Kalaratri is regarded as a benevolent protector who grants fearlessness to her devotees.

Prayers on the day seek courage, well-being and prosperity, reflecting the broader significance of Navratri as a celebration of the nine forms of Goddess Durga.
