New Delhi, August 3: The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) concluded its two-day executive meeting at Tagore Bhawan, Rajghat, New Delhi. Chief Patron Dr. Indresh Kumar chaired the meeting, where attendees passed several important resolutions and announced organizational changes.
The MRM condemned terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and stressed the need to reintegrate Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) into India. The organization will conduct a Tiranga Yatra from August 15 to August 25 and celebrate Raksha Bandhan to honor the victims of POJK. The MRM referenced the Indian Parliament’s resolution of February 22, 1994, which reaffirmed Jammu and Kashmir as part of India and demanded Pakistan’s withdrawal from the occupied areas.
The MRM denounced the 1966 police firing on a procession in Washim, Maharashtra, which had called for a nationwide ban on cow slaughter. The organization will launch a public awareness campaign under the banner “No Cow Lynching and No Man Lynching.” MRM plans to organize a “Run for Unity” and student conferences from October 15 to November 11. Additionally, the organization will host programs like “Aao Jadon Se Jude” across the country to connect people with their roots.
The meeting introduced several changes to the organization’s structure. Shahid Sayeed and Dr. Shalini Ali were appointed as National Conveners, expanding the board to 15 members. Tasneem Patel will replace Dr. Shalini as the Women’s Head, while Shahid and Shalini will continue their previous roles. The Media and Literature team now includes Shalini Ali, Haji Mohammad Sabreen, Keshav Patel, and Mohammad Faiz Khan. The organization also reassigned leaders for various cells, including the Seva Cell, Cow Cell, Environment Cell, and Aao Jadoon Se Jude Cell.
